Sahil Khan Arrested: Know The Reason why He Is Arrested Related to Mahadev Betting App Case

The Mumbai Police arrested actor and influencer Sahil Khan for his alleged involvement in the Mahadev betting app case. He was apprehended by the Mumbai cyber cell’s Special Investigating Team (SIT) in Chhattisgarh after his plea for pre-arrest bail was rejected by the Bombay High Court. He has been sent to police custody till May 1.

Earlier, the SIT had called Sahil and three others for questioning in December 2023, but he did not show up. He claimed to be just a brand promoter under a contract with M/s. Isports247, promoting The Lion Book brand, and denied direct association with the betting platform. However, the police said he was a co-owner of the app. He has been brought to Mumbai via Raipur. According to the police, he was the partner in Lotus App 247. After being brought to Mumbai, the actor said, “I believe in the judiciary of the country.”

Actor Sahil Khan's lawyer Mujahid Ansari says, "They wanted a remand to investigate. They had produced their ground in the Session Court and the High Court that there are 2000 SIM cards and 1700 bank accounts... The court has sent him (Sahil Khan) to a two-day- police custody. He will be produced again on May 1... No SIM card or bank account is in Sahil Khan's name. We have cooperated and submitted the bank statement... He has been framed in the matter that he had been instigating and promoting the app..."
