Kronii and Irys(I think) were feeding berries to the foxes, producing their own tamed foxes among Mumei's foxes
When Mumei attacked Kronii, Kronii's tamed fox attacked Mumei, which aggro'd all of Mumei's foxes.
That's why Mumei's foxes were killing the other fox, which belonged to Kronii. The noise they make seem to be aggro noise but idk why they wont stop, maybe it takes a while

I had to check because I dont understand fox behavior aside from it harvesting the berry bush's berries.
