Lived there for 3 years back in the late 70's/early 80's. The have a saying that you can't get the sand out of your shoes once you've been and man do I miss it!

Are you wondering why there's not a single mention of riding Jet Skis in the Florida Keys? Me too! Just remember that if you bring your PWC to the Keys you better check ahead because most of the lower Keys have laws against them especially on the Gulf side southwest of Marathon Key.

Why say subtropical?
Pretty sure it's 100% tropical.
Either coldest month should be above 18C on avg or annual avg temp has to be above 22C.. That's tropical, Florida from Tampa and down is above this.
