Speed of train primarily depends on sections, #Vande Bharat was running on Delhi Varanasi section where M.P.S. (Max. Permissible Speed) is 130-140 kmph while #Gatimaan was on Delhi Agra section where M.P.S. is 160-180 kmph. Wait for the day when #Vande Bharat will run on that section.

No doubt t 18 is designed to achieve speed up to 200 kmph but its route Varanasi to new Delhi doesn't support that much speed and the permissible is only 130 kmph.While the track on which gatiman runs can support speed upto 160 kmph
