Thank you so much for answering my question. For some reason it was the first day that I was trying out Midjourney that I was having that issue. Since then I have been able to create many images with beautiful black people. I am loving Midjourney now and have become slightly addicted lol. Hi. Can you please do an updated one. In v5.2, when I use the words "melanin" "african american" ....etc I get people who look mixed race about 90% if the time now.

im making something for someone and they want an image with a black and white person and a korean and white person in their images, and for some reason 99% of the images im rendering even though im specifically typing out their ethnicities or skin color they both come out as black or korean or white, i cant get them to be different ethnicities from eachother for some reason even though i feel like my prompts couldn't be clearer. Anyone have any advice?

Hi I am having that problem I put I black very dark skin
It always comes up with mixed type women brown with mixed features never sudanese type black and when I type that in I get Arab looking black women

I’m so frustrated. I cannot get black or African characters. No matter what I type, or whether I’m using Midjourney or the app, Wonder.

I do not want girls with “mixed” features. I do not want light-skinned characters. I want a BLACK woman with African features IN Korea (shopping, walking, in a cafe, on dates) resembling me and my time in the country. But all I get is cruddy results…no Black women. Or Asian men.

If I try to add more than one character into a prompt—e.g. black woman, Asian man—I will literally ALWAYS get a thin East Asian woman with a dark skin Black man. The total opposite of what I typed.

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong to always get these results, so, here I am.

I have the opposite problem, every time I put Caucasian, fair skin, etc I ALWAYS get a black character… it’s very annoying since I’m working for my brand in a country where there are almost no black people so they are definitely not my targeted customers… every time 70% of the characters are black even when I write « Caucasian white fair skin »
