In this demo featuring Meg from PMT Portsmouth, we see and hear how the DR-01s adds an entirely new dynamic to your acoustic playing, allowing you to choose from a selection of different percussion instruments and sculpt an entire backing track instantly.

This highly portable unit is more than just a drum machine, but an entire studios worth of percussive instruments. You can choose up to 24 different voices including drums, maracas, shakers and more – meaning you can add a percussive element to your sound that will match the genre you’re playing in.

The onboard speaker will easily keep up with an acoustic instrument, however the line out socket means you can plug in to a PA system or amplifier for use on stage. The BOSS DR-01s can be powered by either the included AC adaptor OR by six AA-sized batteries making it a great tool for touring/busking musicians.

...Finally, Boss designs a percussion machine for acoustic Appears to be simple to use and setup on the fly. Beats the heck out of countless hows of fiddling with BeatBuddy Manager software (disaster), less time "under the hood", more time playing with percussion instruments...

Sounds just like the rhythm section on my first Casio MIDI keyboard. I think it had 5 Ska rhythms. LOL. That was 30 years ago.

Why if it has alot of percussion features does it not have 2/4 time? Cuban and Brazilian guitar have alot of songs using this time signature?
