Insignia is underrated. People think just a cheap piece of British whip but actually it's a really good family car.

It's a wonderful car. I used it in my last trip to UK. Excellent car with lots of features. Boot is really big to accommodate 4 suitcases and two backpack.

Top Gear should hire you and Matt to join Chris Harris. No others needed!
Next level!! Good luck and keep it up!

Great review. I like the way you started with the test drive, rather than the interior.

As a previous owner of an astra and Corsa "crap" I was very impressed when I had one from enterprise for a couple of weeks, brilliant crusier on motorways, pretty fun on A roads round Snowdonia and a very good standard of workmanship all over. If I was to purchase one it would have to be the 2.0 as the 1.6td was enough but I like a little more kick.

My kids preferred it over there mums cla220 lol, negatives include lag on the GPS and the fact the steering assistance is automatically on unless you turn it off each time the engine is started.

I like it. For some reason this car reminds me of the MK3 Cavalier. Looks classy.

Sitting in a US-spec Buick Regal hatchback, I am 6'2" tall and setting behind the front seat fit more me, I had adequate room in the rear seat. It wasn't extremely roomy, but it is enough, and is as good as most midsize models. Much better than the predecessor (which I own a 2015 Buick Regal).

Shame you don't get our handling tune or the 3.6l V6 we get in Australia. If you like the size thank Australian engineers who demanded the larger dimensions. Pick of the litter in Australia is the Calais V Tourer, 3.6l V6 AWD. The base engine is 2l Turbo and the 2l Diesel is an option on lower versions. Oh and standard 9 speed auto on all versions.

To be fair if this had a bmw or audi badge people would rave about it

Awesome car .... Looks better than some so called premiums. Past insignia model was one of the most trusted cars in its class ... I hope this one too. Just go ahead

Wouldn't it make sense to show the cabin first... before you start driving ??? Like you know... all the other reviewers!! And who wants to know how to connect to your phone... instead it would be good to know hidden cool features!!!

Thank you for the detailed review Miss Jackson. We won't be seeing a true drive review of the Buick Regal stateside for a few more months, which is essentially the same thing as the Insignia (no diesel of course). That back seat could certainly benefit from more head room, but luckily, I think we're also getting a wagon version here. Does Vauxhall make a version in the UK?

My wife has a ZB Holden Commodore VXR ( vauxhall insignia VXR ) which in Australia has a 3.6 ltr engine, 9 speed auto & AWD ! Putting out 235 kw ( hers has a Walkinshaw Performance Upgrade to 270 kw )

It's a good car better than a pissy 1.5 ltr petrol or 1.6 diesel

Thankgod for it's V6 !!
👍
