This is the worst explaination of the holographic principal I've ever heard. The actual principal is that information about a 3D volume can be described only using the 2D surfaces of that object

The real question is if a 2d universe is infinitely expanding informationwise wouldn't it eventually become a 3D universe and then a 4D? An expanding data set that's arrived at due to recursion would in essence be a fractal, thus it would be infinite, and since we are dealing with information as the base component of the universe then eventually a 2D universe would eventually become 3D simply to represent a data set that requires 3 dimensions. I'm saying the number of dimensions increases over time simply to accommodate for the new discrete data the recursive system is generating

We do only see in 2D but our brain makes it known its 3D

If you're going to go this far out... Go ahead and say God did it; that can't be disproven either. That said, I love this theory! And no, I'm not religious, I'm agnostic. I just don't believe in religions and their ideas of gods; I can easily show a thousand falsehoods of religion, but I can't disprove the idea of a supreme universal intelligence. Atheism is unscientific.
