To widen your sonic palette, the next few videos will be looking at the permanently-free Komplete Start from Native Instruments:

In this video, I take you through setting up an account, downloading the software and getting it installed, using Native Access.

This series is my tiny attempt to get people doing something productive while being in lockdown at home - learning how to create music using Steinberg's Cubase Elements, which has a 60-day free trial available as part of the #StayHome initiative:

If you feel this series has been useful to you (and you can do so), please support me by purchasing the full version of my book:

As with many other freelancers around the world, I have no work on my books for the next few months, so every purchase will be appreciated - even though there is currently some delivery delay (understandably) on Amazon.

Thanks!

Thanks for this. Is Kontakt pretty much a competitor to Steinberg's Halion? I only recently bought cubase pro and found to my dismay that cubase's stock sampler is Halion sonic se 3, and it is pretty crap - it's a neutered version of Halion it seems, with only the barest of opportunities for editing, no modulation etc.

Thx for the video couple of questions #1 Can Kontact Player be used like a stock VST?
#2 Your Book: Can the information you cover apply to Elements 10.5 users as well?
