I don't want to be that guy but, the title is throwing me off . You spent over 7 mins saying why the other drones are better . I get what you are trying to do but, watching this makes me feel like the mini 4 pro is not the wrong drone for most of the stuff you may want.

I just bought it...and I am more and more realizing how awesome the Mini 4 is....and that is from someone who has the Mavic 3 pro.

You asked what I love about the Mini 4 Pro? The obstacle avoidance. I was biking my neighborhood with the drone tracking me and I made a right turn that forced it to make a wide right turn towards a large, leafy tree. Instead of going around the tree, it picked a path THROUGH the branches on a downward angle and came out the other side as though the tree wasn't even there.

Impressed. DJI’s Mini 4 Pro is a little beast. I went on a boat trip in the Caribbean and flew it in steady 19mph winds to film. The Mini 4 stayed in place and canted about 45 degrees into the wind while providing stable video. Plus it’s pretty quiet.

When I bought the Mini 3 Pro, I thought it was an amazing drone (and still do) but when I bought the Mini 4 Pro, I was blown away using all the new features, way points, cruise control and so on. Yes the other drones you mentioned are nice and more powerful in some ways but does all that really matter when the quality of the video or pictures are the same. Thanks for the opinion on the M4P

I upgraded from the mini 3 (non pro) to the mini 4 pro. I am still growing into it. I had the mini 3 for a little over a year, and due to using it more than I thought I would, I upgraded since I wanted the perks of the mini 4 pro. It's been great for car shoots, vacations, and just for fun. I take it almost everywhere with me. I do free shoots for folks because it's so much fun. I am slowly leaning into the idea of making it a side gig for income, but I don't want to make my hobby feel like work. Either way, DJI has some great drones for most any budget. Happy flying!

Mini 4 Pro is my first and only drone and so far I am blown away by what it is capable of doing. As DJI says, it’s “Mini but mighty” :)

I think we’re pretty much at the end of the road with drone features mainly due to the 250gm bar…….bigger sensor? Dual lens? Better wind resistance? Longer flight times? They all mean more weight, but I’d be more than happy to be proven wrong 🙂

Coming from the Mavic 2 Zoom, there's a lot to like about the Mini 4 Pro. The longer flight time, ability to point the camera upward, obviously the size and weight as well. The most obvious thing I miss from the Mavic 2 zoom is the ability really zoom in on objects from a distance without any loss in image quality. The others things are speed and wind resistance in that order. Chasing objects - especially moving ones - in Sport mode was so much quicker. I recently chased down a cargo ship with the Mini 4 Pro and it took what seemed like forever. Thank goodness for cruise control because you need it at that speed. I'd love to have a faster drone for that type of thing. The Mav2 would have reached the ship much faster, but I'm not sure I would have had any battery life to spare. The Mav 3 pro is tempting but that $2k+ price makes me hesitate, especially when you look at the fly more package :). The Mav 3 classic is a good price point, but I want a superior zoom function if I'm going to lug around a drone of that size.

I just walked in the door with the Mini 4 Pro. SO EXCITED. I've had the Spark, Mini, Mini 3 and now the 4. Looking forward to see how good it really is.

I fly the mini 4 pro. It amazes me every time I fly it. Dji really do have to dig deep to improve it. May be wind resistant level 6? Like you say dual cameras? I take my 4 pro everywhere with me! It really is the goat... I fly mine as a hobby so time isn't an issue to me, I do get it with the job you do as I have used the air 3 and it's an absolute beast ripping around! Cheers ian 👍

You are definitely underrating the Air 3. It brings a lot of upgrades for not a lot more money. It is faster, stays in the air longer, gets the Cellular Dongle 2 into its inside, has extra zoom, can fly up to 1000m above its starting point. It even has significant advantages over the Mavic 3 Pro. It is faster, stais in the air longer, gets the Cellular Dongle 2 into its inside and can tilt its gimbal upwards 60°.

The Air 3 is the best price/performance ratio you can buy at the moment. Its so incredibly cheap and you can even get it refurbished. Its disadvantages in comparison to the Mini 4 Pro really just is the lack of a true 9:16 portrait mode (it achieves this by cropping on the 4:3 sensor unlike the Mini which actually flips its camera) and the extra space it needs while carrying. Its not like you couldnt carry an Air 3, but the Mini 4 Pro makes it indeed easier. But the Air 3 will get you the most out of your money.

Hi Billy. I can't imagine the mini 5 pro getting two camaras but I can see it getting the gimbal and camera from the Pocket 3. Lovely aerial shots in this video. Best Dave

Happily flying the Mini 3 Pro and not contemplating an upgrade before Mini 5 Pro. Would love a 70mm lens but for myself travel, compactness, and stealth are of primary importance.

I’ve never invested in a mini drone. I started with the Phantom 4 and I took that drone everywhere. In and out the states, etc. So drones like the Air, Air 2 and Air 2s were small enough. I purchased all 3 upon release. The fact that Air 2s has a 1” sensor made it my go to drone. It’s not much bigger than the mini lineup but can handle wind a lot better.
With that said, the Mini 4 Pro is so impressive that I might have to get it. I’m planning a trip this summer that will consist in full days of hiking, exploring, etc. And with the growth off my vlogging equipment, my backpack is at it’s heaviest. I’m thinking of putting together a super lightweight backpack. Replace my Sony mirrorless with the DJI Pocket 3 and the Air 2s with the Mini 4 Pro 🤔.

As a newbie, I find your videos informative as well as visually pleasing. Kudos for making a profession out of the use of drone technology. I was a photo major a very long time ago, but while it opened doors for me, I never made a career out of it. Maybe it is like the old saying "farming is fun until you do it for a living." Your enthusiasm and joy coupled with beautiful images make your videos a joy for me to view! Keep flying! I have a lot of questions so I will be looking for answers as I enjoy your work!

In comparing the mini 4 pro and the phantom 4 pro, Mr. Billy suggests that the mini is all around better (minus wind stability) while being many times smaller. I just want to highlight that the phantom 4 pro has a 1" sensor, a shutter for taking photos without rolling shutter issues, and an adjustable aperture. These are significant, and in my opinion, shouldn't haver been omitted from the Phantom 4's strengths.

I have the mini 4 pro and the air 3. That tandem covers everything! Another great video Billy 👍
