It must be weird for the queen to know that DJs, radio stations, and even TV stations are prepared for her to die

Imagine all the radios panicking for the queen’s death when the blue light comes on but they say it’s Prince Phillip.
It’s weird that people are relieved that someone else died instead of the person they though.

so if the physical London bridge is actually *down* would the codename be like 'the queen died' or sumn

CONFIRMED! My relative in England watched as her program on TV interrupted with the exact sequence you had described. The country has literally shut down. Our news here played sound bites of pilots making the announcement on their flights (regardless of flag) and the President of the United States ordered all flags at half staff. This video should be marked as factual as it is very accurate.

Well, I think we all know why we're here today.

1:57 A nuclear missile alert labeled "Oh Dear" is probably the most British thing I've ever seen.

It's kinda weird learning about this years ago and possibly seeing it actually happen today.

When someone on Discord broke the news to me I immediately tried to get my hands on a BBC broadcast (I do not live in the UK) and I was right in time when they showed her last portrait switching over to the rather hurt news anchor who announced her death just as protocol demanded him to, and as described in the video. Witnessing that was surreal, they then showed footage of a flag being lowered while in the background a rainbow emegered, that was intense.

She’s trying her best to outlive Charles so we won’t have him as King, real big brain moves from Lizzie.

Gorbachev last week. Now the queen.

Can’t help but feel the symbolism of their passing during a time of big changes.

The world is shifting in front of our eyes. We’re watching an era die and a new one take place.

She was the Queen in my great-grandparents' lifetime.
And she still is in mine.

I don’t think that this ”secret protocol” is very secret anymore

Crazy to think that odds are someone will watch this for the first time literally the day or day before it actually happens.

I never thought I'd see this protocol being activated in my lifetime.

We saw a version of this the other day with the death of Prince Philip. The BBC’s anchor changed her top, taking off her necklace and putting on a coat while she was reading the flash.

10 months ago. Still feels unreal. Watching this video so many times thinking it would never happen. Rest In Eternal Peace Your Majesty, thank you for everything.
