What a fascinating assortment of sports cars; all those lovely XK 120 Jags and a gorgeous XK 120-C type Jag too. Would have been nice to hear the commentary tho' - but it looks like a really fun day out.

Loved this! Thank you so much! My personal favourite was the C Type! What a stylish machine! Also, might that have been a Cunningham with its distinctive white paint and blue stripe in the paddock (at about 1.45 in), and an Abarth Carrera Porsche (at about 11.50)? What a treasure this video is! 😃

Difficult to hear the sound, but the voice sounded like it could be Chris Economaki at a very early time. Great history!

Theres some really rare cars pictured; 1:40, FrazerNash Lemans replica(thats the name, they weren't some sort of kitcar) One of 86 built in the late 1940's and very fast for their day coming 2nd behind Ferrari at lemans.
2:17 Aston DB1, 2:25 1955 Mercedes 300 b (I have one in my shop right now.) 5:11 Hemi Powered Allard ...pity the sound has faded it would have been great to listen to that growling around the track.

I'm guessing this was October 11, 1953. Great footage of John Negley in the #11 J2X Le Mans...he was a DNF at that race. Sadly he died 2 weeks later at SOWEGA in the same car.
