The using of matrix form and eigen value helps us in the way that we kind of looking at transformation of every (x, y) to (x', y') wich it is easier to find ?

He skiped a lot of steps, if you dont already know how to do half the process (diagonalize, orthonormalize, etc) dont bother watching, it will just leave you more confused
