Literally explained better in 4mins than my yr3 physics lecturer at uni did in 15

WIsh our books used language like that. It connects more with people.

EIGENVALUES OF HERMITIAN OPERATOR ARE REAL AS FK.

Love the T-Pain reference. If making these kinds of references is what it takes to motivate younger people to do physics, I'm in.

idk if you ever asked for feedback but...
you make the tutoring intro really nice in the sense that it doesn't really bother (at least to me).

Next video: Different eigenvectors of hermitian operators are ortogonal.

Can you please explain the difference between eigen values of an operator and expectation value of an observable ? and also can you show how operators having common set of eigenfunctions commute ?

Simple and easy to understand, thank you!!

Could you make a video explaining Bessel and Legendre functions, please? My understanding of them is nebulous at best...

Can you interpret the eigenvalues/eigenvectors of the metric tensor? I can't find anything on it. I'm really trying to understand a few concepts from gr conceptually at a reasonable level, but the metric signature is giving me a little trouble. "It's a thing we need to keep track of". Ok, why? "It is the number of positive and negative eigenvalues of the metric tensor counted with algebraic multiplicity". Ok, what does an eigenvalue/vector of the metric represent physically, or what's a good mathematical reason for why we need to keep track of it?

I can't find squat on it. I have a hunch it has to do with symmetry, but I really don't know, and would really appreciate some insight. I know you did some videos on gr/diff geom in the past (well, future from this video), which is why I ask. There's something here I'm missing but I'm not sure what.

Nice proof. Dud why any ket in the Hilbert space can be written as an infinite sum of eigenkets? only because of the QM postulates or is there any mathematical justification?

Could you make one on Terrel Rotations i.e what a sphere would look like if it were moving at a relativistic speed?

I want to get into a beef session with an engineering student in the comments.

To be honest.. .I have no idea what
Were we actually solving for The EIGEN value?
Am so gonna have quantum mechanics in my college course....
Ah forever

hiccup.
