keep it wagon, should us your ideas for capable comp suspension setup and how you utilize space for wagon owners! If nauty40 does rock up later down the track you have one of each!

Keep it as a wagon! Absolutely mint condition, if you have to chop it later down the track then you always have that option! But 80s like this almost don’t exist anymore

What a ripper! I'd personally keep it as a wagon because the thought of chopping up something that was so well looked after makes me wanna cry. Keen to see what you do with it :)

Everyone is doing chops these days, i'd love to see what you can do with a beast of a wagon, love to see comp spec but also think versatility for touring and 4x4 for the channel helps. As hard as a time as it's been for you, love to see the positivity you've kept and moving forward.

Would love to see it like the early naughty 40 (before chopped) except more comp spec

Fantastic stuff. Unreal that you found one of the naughty 40s sibling. Another unreal thing is that I also have another of it's siblings. 11/1992 and the same red and there were 2 reds. My 80 was also a 1 owner when I got the Red Rocket. I scored a 1HDT. The rocket had 70, 000ks when I bought her some 24 years ago. The rocket still only has 240, 000ks on it today. I laid her on the side a couple of years ago in the bush. That was one of the best things because she had the operation and is now a twin cab with aluminum canopy. All the previous little scares were removed and she had a new paint job with a late Toyota red with fleck. This has given us so much more usable space than the wagon.
She went on Diesel gas about 10 years ago. The 1HDT is still untouched but the turbo has been high flowed and a Big X Country top mount added. Numerous other mods and she is so sweet and she turns heads everywhere. My 3 children all want her when I go to heaven. Good luck with the new build.
I would like to send you a few photos.

Would love to see an insane wagon build!! Crazy flex sus setup with all the fruit for the toughest tracks and get creative with the space in the wagon for a sick touring fit out!

Man 2.0 is in such amazing condition for a 30 year old LandCruiser!! Because it’s so mint maybe don’t chop this one, but do suspension, bar work and Treps like the Naughty 40. Best of both worlds - wagon comp truck vibes. Congrats mate, can’t wait for the build series 🤙🏻

Frick them supercar pics with the bridge (they look mint though), the Sydney harbour bridge with a 80 series Land Cruiser gets me going. 😮‍💨😮‍💨🤣🤣

Hey Sam, I reckon keep it a wagon, but full deck it out with a massive lift and tyres, so that it is the most capable rig. Would love to see a chop, but this old girl is a gem, way to immaculate to cut in half.

Hi mate keep it as a wagon 👍
Make it easy for you when you do find the naughty 40 then you have the best 👌 of both, greetings from south africa 🇿🇦

Congratulations. It looks like you found a gem. I always find it amusing that everyone looks for a bog standard, grandpa spec, unmolested original vehicle, then the first thing the new owner does..., molest it, and modify it up the wazzo or worst, chop it. What you got is indeed rare. It's a shame it won't be left alone as is. I'm in the "keep it as a wagon" camp.

Hey Sam, i reckon keep it a wagon .. A ute chop is the easy way out, lets see what you can do with the wagon and give me some ideas . I have two paj wagons, one decked out for fun and the other is just like your 80, still original and only 260000 ks . So if you go a wagon build , i can try do the same ..👍

Single cab chop, keep the quarters but bob them and the chassis for mad departure goodness. Upper tail gate for rear window to retain rear demister. And lots of bar work

Chopped space cab. Full side rails and scrub bars, fat wheel, polished chrome rims. Tray with decent side canopy. (Dog box and additional canopy that can be taken off). And a big, flexi boy lift
