Lady and the Tramp Bella Notte - Spaghetti Scene

preview_player
Показать описание
Tramp takes Lady for an Italian candlelit dinner at Tony’s Restaurant. The comedic characters of Tony and Joe, two Italian chefs, lighten the tone of the film, even though they aren’t on screen for too long. It is Tony who sings the song ‘Bella Notte’ as the two dogs eat their spaghetti and meatballs. The music is by Sonny Burke and the lyrics are by Peggy Lee.

I can't get over how beautiful this scene is. I'm getting teary-eyed over two dogs falling in love. It's so cute how he calls her pigeon.

"Tony! Dogs don't talk!"
"He's-a talking to me!"
For some reason, that's stuck with me for years. I just love their delivery.

Anyone else just love how Toni treats the Tramp and Lady so well? And how he talks to the Tramp like a person? It's so endearing to see how well they understand each other as close friends, rather than the typical person talking down to an animal like a lowly pet.

The two Italians are some of the most wholesome characters I’ve seen in any movie ever.

The spaghetti kiss is the most iconic one of all time and the most cutest, romantic and best Disney couple kiss! 😍❤️

In the netherlands there was once a small comic that explained why tony did this for tramp. Tony once fell in a lake in cold winter, but couldn't swim out of it. Tramp was just passing by and jumped in to the lake, grabbed Tony shirt collar with his teeth and pulled him to the shore saving Tonys life.

Fun Fact: In pre-production Walt Disney found this scene to be rather silly so he heavily considered cutting it. Animator Frank Thomas was so determined to prove Walt wrong that he actuality animated the ENTIRE scene from scratch. When viewing it for a test screening Walt was so impressed he changed his mind.

My departed Mom loved this movie. She loved dogs, she trained them. This was probably one of her favorite films. I was a teen when she died, but she played it constantly and had the figurines from Disney World of Lady and the Tramp. Such a beautiful scene. I feel closer to her watching this now over 20 years from her death because I know she loved this. Miss you Mom.

When I was little, I would always pause the movie and wait until my mom finished making a batch of spaghetti so that I could eat it during this one scene. Lol
That was always my rule as a kid with Lady and the Tramp.
