Ok so....first off - PROPER display of your vehicle's capabilities. I'm sold. If any other car manufacturer would show their products potential, they might just compete with the G Class. Why don't they actually demonstrate their cars?!

And secondly, did anyone notice just how RELAXED/NORMAL the guy was! I mean, even I was freaking out on that ramp and he's like, "eh, it's a G Class"

That's the paradox of this car.
One of the best stock car you can get on the market when it comes to offroad capabilities. Its triple mechanical differential locks is nowadays unique, only the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon offers this possibility too. This feature beats the Range Rover and Toyota Land Cruiser which are also references in this category. Only in water wading depth is the G Class beaten by the Ford Ranger (800 mm) and the Land Rover Range/Disco/Defender (900 mm).
The problem is its price tag. Very very few people can afford this car and among them who would go offroading with a car that costs 150k€+ ?? Only people you see with a G Class are bling bling people from the jet set, who would never drive off the city. They don't have the skills anyway to drive off road lol. It's such a pity and a waste when you consider the real potential of this car. But hey, same thing applies to owners of a Range Rover.
In the end, people who really do offroading buy an old Land Cruiser from the 90s and specially prepare it for offroad.
