Billy is deaf, born into a hearing family who talks, and argues a lot. He is the only one who really listens to what they each have to say. When he meets Sylvia, she shows him how to use British Sign Language and he is part of a new tribe now. One where a shared identity, community and culture matter to him more than he ever knew before.
Billy’s life is changing, but is anyone ready to see what he has to say?

Putney Theatre Company is a leading amateur theatre company based in South West London. We make bold, adventurous, challenging, classic, new and sometimes more than a little bit silly. Above all, our work always strives to be of the highest standard.
We are driven by a community of active members that includes local Putney residents, people from the borough of Wandsworth and from further afield throughout London. Our home, Putney Arts Theatre is the base of both Putney Theatre Company and Group 64 Youth Theatre, so we are driven by the hard work of our adult members and the playful experimentation of our youth.
