The Rapala Shad Rap is great for fall walleye fishing in river current! Constructed of premium balsa, it can be cast or trolled, performing from ultra-slow presentations to super fast without fail. Its precise action, detailed finish and proven fish-catching patterns make this a “must-have” bait for all anglers. Hand-tuned and tank-tested for perfection right out of the box. Features super sharp VMC black nickel treble hooks. You can cast these baits, like the size 5 and 6, with a medium action spinning rod. For line, Sufix braid (8-15lb test) to a 5-6' Fluorocarbon leader (8-10lb test) can be very effective for all around fishing. You flat line these for walleye, bass, trout and more! In the fall time, these can work great for lake trout when they start to move shallow with the falling water temps.

Shad Raps never fail to deliver. Just guys please if you notice your hooks begining to rust or turn white or you see even tiny specks of any other metal present in hooks, swap them out immediately, I lost my pb walleye on a Shad Rap, 14lb monster lost because a hook snapped. This goes for all crankbaits and jerkbaits, not just for Rapalas.
