I am 70, all the problems started when the Federal Government took away local control from parents ( PTA), then the teachers union came in and destroyed what was left . You cannot fire bad teachers! This system is broken & hopeless & must go back to local parental control .

I know of many teachers who left teaching because the kids were violent, verbally and physically to the point they feared harm and the administration nor parents took the teachers side.

Our country is in the mid 20's rating for grades in the World . This has gotten worse over the yrs. and yet we spend more money than any other country per student. Money not the problem. The parents today suck. I've coached basketball for 15 years. Went from just being a coach to a foster dad. The parents failed these kids. Starts at home.

If coaching is anything like teaching, parents expect you to do it all. Some just drop the kids off and go about their day. Some don't feed the kids. The breakdown in teaching reflects a larger problem. It's my last year coaching, entails too much outside of basketball.
