In this video, Heimler walks you through the Italian Renaissance—the place where modern European History (and AP Euro) begins. The Renaissance majored in the revival of classical texts from Ancient Greece and Rome. New methods of art were employed at the hands of folks like Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. New methods of learning emerged, like philology and the emphasis on classical learning. And humanism becomes the dominant philosophy of the age.
