An update on the Greenland Ice Shelf

Back in 2006, Scott Pelley travelled north to a fjord in Greenland to witness “Global Warning” – the melting arctic.

"60 Minutes" is the most successful television broadcast in history. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 and is still a hit, over 50 seasons later, regularly making Nielsen's Top 10.

This video definitely aint about to make headlines. But I respect that 60 minutes did an update on somthing that we don't really think of but thats pretty meaningful.

it is the Greenland Ice Sheet - very little of it is floating.

Why is everyone worried about the planet? This planet will be just fine. It will change and change again hundreds of times over millions of years. This planet will go on and be ok. People will destroy themselves soon and maybe even in our lifetimes but trust me when I say the planet will keep on going without us.

scientists in the 1930's were worried about the rapid melting of Greenland Ice too . melting ice in greenland is not just a recent phenomenon

greenlands ' largest glacier, jacobshavn is growing, as is greenlands' snow mass balance, though it does continue to lose ice thru glacial calving . arctic sea ice continues growing since 2012 . do some fact checking for yourself before believing everything you're told . according to nasa, including calving, greenland is losing 50 cubic miles of ice a year, out of a total of 760, 000 cubic miles
