Brioni intense EDP is such a masterpiece. It quite possibly might be my favorite fragrance of all time.

I broke the Eclat out tonight for some reason thinking about a fragrance to wear to the office tomorrow. I am embarrassed to say that I totally forgot that I owned this. I was so pleasantly surprised when I put a couple of sprays on to preview for tomorrow and do not understand how I forgot about this one. I love scents like this that are elegant, understated, and sit closer to the skin but you can get wiffs throughout the day. I love that these type of scents give off a clean, classy vibe. I differ from you and feel the Eclat goes well with a nice button down white shirt, classic patterned conservative tie and nice wool slacks. It would smell nice on a professional such as a M&A attorney or an architect. It reminds me of Turnbill and Asser by Floris . I do also own the EDP and I use it as a room freshener in my bathroom at the office. It does smell much warmer and deeper to me. I do get the resins you speak of and much more sweetness. I am not drawn to frags like this as they project too much and can be a little in your face. I prefer the subtlety and elegance of the Eclat. I will need to test both of them more and consider wearing the EDP on skin but I fear it may give me a headache. I do love this hobby because it is so subjective and no two people are going to smell the same things and it is all based on our filters from past scent associations. I am curious to see if your thoughts have evolved since your first impressions of these two fragrances.

Hey, Ross. I picked up Eclat earlier this year and it quickly climbed into my top 5. I love the fresh notes with the rose sitting in the background. Just a gorgeous scent that I’m betting will grow on you. I rock it in the office at least once weekly when the temps are hot outside. I picked up EDP about a month ago and it is classy as hell… you described it very well. Kevin in Iowa

I'm not usually a big fan of blue frags, but along with Bleu Noir EDP, Brioni EDP is my go to when that's what is needed. Quality, but different from what the average person would wear. That said, Intense is my favorite by quite a bit.

I've had Brioni EDP for about 2 months now. Love it. Super fresh, reminds me a bit of Fahrenheit. The bottles are supposed to remind you of an Italian suit, which is what Brioni is known for. Love your channel Ross!

Brioni line is great. I live in London so we are lucky to have a Brioni boutique here (not that I can afford a suit from there, one day!).. the EDP especially smells like opening a cedarwood wardrobe with high end cedar coat hangers full of freshly pressed and steamed Brioni suits.. that’s the exactly the smell and vibe they managed to distill with the EDP. The smell of the store. Citric, steamy ozonic notes and a warming cedar base.

Refined, elegant, classy, gentlemanly and slightly sexy. Great scent.

I get something completely different with Brioni EDP. I can’t smell it off my skin for the first 30min until the ambroxan kicks in. Then it’s a powdery, musky, ambroxan. Lasts a long time but very close to the skin. Really comes to life in the heat though.

I think you're right, the cederwood in the edp could be the olibanum type of smell since atlas ceder smells a bit like olibanum. The cederwood is not specified as virginian cederwood, the familiar pencil shavings smell.

The Eclat has patchouli giving it the earthy note. I too am curious abiut the smoky note…maybe the frankincense? But the frankincense/rose interplay is the heart. So good.

Brioni edp one of my favorite smells unique in a great way. Today will receive the eclat hopefully it smells as great as the edp.

It could be that you were detecting cedrambre(smells like it is named cedarwood and ambre) in EDP

Beautiful ozonic violet and ambroxan bomb over light woods. Big fan of the Edp. I'm testing Eclat soon but had to get a full bottle of the edp. Very elegant and understated

Excellent reviews. I very much agree with your opinion about this fragrance band. Actually Brioni is a high end menswear company from Frsnce/Italy. The fragrance aspect of the company is owned by Kering a French-based multinational corporation specializing in luxury goods, which also owns Gucci, YSL and other high-end luxury fragrance brands, and has just recently acquired Creed Fragrances from Blackrock Investment Management Co....❤🇨🇦🌟😎👍
