My first car was a hand me down from my mother, it was a Saturn Vue 3.6 V6 2008 and it had 250 hp heated seats and steering wheel. Think it cost her less than 30k originally. All people want is to be able to merge into traffic confidently and this ain’t it.

Man, I wish Subaru would offer an XT Forester again. Japan offers a 1.8 Turbo, but the 2.4 Turbo would be 🔥. Even the 1.8T with Hybrid would be sweet.

Everybody saying the power is satisfactory for this SUV. It isn’t. It’s barely adequate for a 3200 lb compact sedan much less an SUV that’s 300 to 400 lbs heavier. The Forester is Just. Too. Heavy for 185 hp. Hence, the lackluster performance and subpar towing capacity. That Subaru didn’t offer the WRX sourced high torque 2.4 turbo as an option in the Forester like they did in the Outback and Ascent is inexcusable. That they slapped a $41k price tag on it, when you can pick up an Outback XT for less money, is downright insulting

to anyone complaining about the power I have bad news for you, in my not quite european country most brands only sell hybrids now and the only option for subarus are the 166hp 150+16 e-boxer hybrid which is awful and slow, this is the future europe is slightly behind us and north america way behind but it's coming for you too, the era of every gen more power is over now it's downgrade after downgrade to push people onto evs I really hope the next hybrid will be the rumored toyota-subaru collaboration as right now there's no way I would choose the e-boxer over a rav4 and it's engine crossing fingers for Subaru don't make another wrx sti mistake you can't afford it with the forester it would sink the brand
