Scan a Line Drawing with ScanNCut to Use as a Cut File

Host of PBS' Scrapbook Soup, mixed media artist and educator Julie Fei-Fan Balzer demonstrates how to use the 300DPI built-in scanner of the ScanNCut machine to scan a line drawing.

Both of the scans look the same to me. What am I missing? Could you show how the first scan would have cut out in comparison to the second scanned image? I will watch this again to see what you said about the double line on the first image but I sure didn't see it the first time through. I love your videos and cannot wait until my Brother Scan N Cut comes on the 5th of Oct! I would just like a bit more explanation on your videos so I can figure out what you're talking about. Thanks for your help.

I have a acetate template that is meant to be traced to paper and hand cut, can this type of material be scanned to cut so that I can cut multiples with the machine? Thanks for sharing all your talent.

This is a nice solution provided you can color inside the lines and your sketch isn’t too complex. It’s easier to scan it to a USB and clean it up in Scal or Canvas.

I understand the concept but if you have a really intricate design you would probably spend as much time filling in the lines as you would deleting them individually wouldn't you?  JMO.

I scan my hand drawn image but the outline only shows. I've use scan to cut just outline shows.

Well that's a lot of extra BS and time to have to do when you want to design cut files from drawings. never mind when I want to make a more complicated layered image. That was my #1 reason to buy this machine. So it's not as easy as you make it out to be. Disappointing.
