Grundig 3060a tube radio restoration log part 1.
The first look at this fabulous radio. The transformer was loose and had been removed due to a total burn-out. Not fun, but we have a solution ... I think.

I think those speakers are different because the left hand one has some magnetic shielding - it's closer to the RF stages, whereas the right hand one is over by the power amp section and so less likely to interfere. I've seen this on some Sabas as well.

There was I looking for part 2 and then I saw the date. Happy new year BTW. I brought an expensive, beautiful looking nordmende turkey from ebay. Does not work and all the 'replaced' caps look 100% untouched. Very annoying. So I will follow this restoration with keen interest. Especially if you have tips on alignment.

Hello Manuel. I recently acquired a 3060 in unknown condition electronically, but one thing I do know is that it is missing the bottom plate (covering the electronics). Any chance you could post a photo and dimensions so I can fabricate one from hardboard please?
