I'm an educated 24 year old man. I'm from punjab. My father do traditional green revolution (wheat rice) type farming. Lot of ground water is being used. Chemical pesticides and herbicides are used. I want to change it. Even other farmers want to change it but there is no price guarantee for other crops like mustard, vegetables, fruits, corn etc

My state Sikkim started organic farming 20 years ago, even before the world knew about it. Today we are 100% organic. Also one of the highest income per capita in the country.

I have one suggestion :- govt. Ko agricultural aur uski marketing me ek deploma course launch karna chahiye jo practical and theory basis par ho AUR uska centre tehsil area ki main mandi ho. Jaha unhe education di ja sake taki kishan better crop ki pedawaar kar sake aur unhe ache rates me bech sake. Aur is course ki qualification 8th pass ho aur course ease language me ho taki farmers aasani se relate kar paaye.

One of the most important thing that I think😅 is
Educate the child about agriculture more at primary level. Let inspire students to mix with soil to do something for soil!!!!
Student should get curious about agri....

I don't know about other states but in my State rajasthan theirs is a lot of work done by both center and state in irrigation and fertilizers incentive ... Cold storage facility is very bad govt is also trying to improve on that ... Also due to centre providing road connectivity to villages agriculture products are now easily being transported to near by towns and tier 2 city's with very less crop wastage

We need to introduce micro farming as a compulsory full fledged subject in school. Whenever I listen HE Dalai Lama and someone asks him for a solution of any particular problem, He comes out with the word "Education" and insists very hard to introduce that sub in schools. . .
