Some time in April 2022 this video came across my YouTube feed and the next day I signed up for flying lessons. My biggest challenge turned out to be getting the FAA medical certificate (thyroid cancer survivor). I persevered and got my PPL April 2, 2023 and bought a Cessna 182 a month later. My IFR check ride is scheduled in November and I’m planning on Commercial, CFI, CFII after that. Flying has been a life long dream and I finally realized it at 43 years old. Now my family and I enjoy flying cross country to visit friends/family and going to fly-ins and air shows. We are planning on going to Oshkosh in 2024, hopefully my two girls catch the aviation bug 🤞. Thanks for giving me the motivation to follow my dreams.

I love the way the checklist is done, it's all spoken through and pointed at along the way

I am a man of 60 years of age, I have had a fear of flying since a long time ago. on every trip, not being able to sleep, stomach ache and panic seemed to be the most frightening qualities that I had. but by looking at your flight and how you cope with flying, for the first time could travel with much less fear. I want to thank you very much from my heart. Wishing you all the happiness and success for you

One of things that is impressive about Stevie is that she doesn't hesitate to ask a controller to repeat an instruction; safety before ego.

Can’t imagine the number of young women you are going to inspire. Great job!

This woman seems like a very conscientious and safe pilot. I love her attention to the checklist.
I"m 75 now and was in Army Aviation in Georgia and in Vietnam.
My dad had a Piper Tri-Pacer when I was a kid and we flew to Texas and Oregon many times. He even bought a Tri-Pacer that had been flipped in a windstorn and bought spars and fabric, rebuilding it himself. The neighbors would come over and have a beer in the back yard as dad was shrinking the fabric to the completed wings with a hot plate. He paid a lot of attention to the checklist and, in the air, we were all tasked with watching for other planes.
My wife wondered why I wasn't bored flying with Stevie from Michigan to Camarillo. I think because we had flown into Albuquerque and I remember taking a long time to get over the mountains when we departed. The Tri-Pacer wasn't a very powerful aircraft but easy to fly.

as a wanna be pilot, this was NOT boring. Watching you be so professional, and proficient on a fun trip is inspiring. This is a very cool video.

You are so awesome, what a boss. I love how you are doing something that I never would even consider (because i’m pretty much terrified of everything) and you seem so calm and chill as if it’s no big deal.

I was on Flight Simulator the other day and decided to fly around Cedar point and decided to land on an island runway. As I landed I kept thinking it looked really familiar. When I reached the end of the runway I recognised the house and remember watching this video.

I grew up flying with a family friend in his 1956 Bonanza. Such good times. Glad you are out there keeping the dream alive. Blue skies!

Imagine being bored and take off to see your friend on another island using your very own plane. This is how crazy life can be <3 :) xx

When life seems really crappy, (as it can these days), this video is such a crystal clear reminder of what life is, or hopefully will be again soon! Its relaxing, freeing, and just a terrific pause in my day! Thank you!

Watching a pro at work here. Any pilot who tells me they loves the check list is my kind of pilot. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful flight, excellent landing and most of all your safety checks and rechecks out loud are a great example for us learning pilots. Thank you!

Living the dream Stevie. You totally rock as a very professional pilot, I'm sure there are a number of viewers who would love to be in your situation. I am rather at the other end age wise (68) but get my kicks flying a paramotor. Love the channel. x

I haven't flown since my son was born in 1985 but I watch a lot of flying videos on YouTube because I miss it so much. I really enjoy watching Stevie. She looks so small in the cockpit and flies that hot Bonanza as though she was born in it! She handles herself with aplomb and self-confidence. You go girl! Keep your wonderful videos coming.

@StevieTriesenberg I Saw your trip to Oshkosh and have been so damn inspired to get my license. When I was 16 & finished my chemo for Hodgkin's I started flying with my uncle. He passed away a few years later and no one else in the family could fly so they sold his plane, and because I wore glasses and was "Sick", I let people tell me I could not do this for a living. I am 50 now and as I go through my ground school lessons and the 3 hours in the air thus far, I want to leave my job, get my PPL, get my instrument rating & commercial license and somehow turn this passion into a career. All because of you and that interview with the FAA and your YouTube and the clever TikToks. SO THANK YOU for inspiring an old man to reset his life and live his passion. You are my inspiration.
