I grew up on funk music, my dad love playing funk music around the house. I’m 39 now and funk music is one of my favorite genres of music.

As amazing as this song is just listening to it, to see it being performed back then is nothing short of mind blowing. His ability to play, sing and dance is incredible!!!

I can't imagine trying to do those bass lines in a studio trying to get a good take for an entire song! They'd be dragging me out like a wounded fighter😅
Mad love for Marcus, Jaco, Jamerson, Drac, Stanley, Victor and Bootsy, but Larry Graham was the 1st to blow my mind on bass😅😅😅😅
Playing my parents records as a 9 yr old and putting Thank You 4 Lettin' me Be myself Again", on their record player, (a 45 record) just totally floored me.. My aunts and uncles would play Dance to the Music and My Lady and they were different compared to all the motown and stax stuff we listened to but Thank You 4 Lettin Me was out of this world in the beginning of the 70s.
