The USA Today best-selling author of over 49 published works, Beverly Jenkins is a national icon for historical romance fiction, specializing in 19th century African American life. Also an NAACP Image Award nominee and recipient of the Romance Writers of America’s 2017 Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award, Jenkins has been featured by many major media outlets, including the New York Times, People, Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, and CBS. On May 6, Jenkins joined the KDP University team to share how publishing her first book in 1994 changed her vision for the future and her top tips for generating buzz (and buys!) leading up to a book launch.
