I think the view from the Gornergrat Bahn is best! It's where you just want to stop the train. Great video again.

Wonderful video! I, Roger Sexton, agree with everything you say in this video. My favourite route is Gornergrat. With the 50% discount given by my indispensable Swiss Travel Pass, I regard the line up the Gornergrat as the best VALUE FOR MONEY mountain ride in the whole of Switzerland. (I have been visiting Switzerland regularly for over fifty years.)

The views from Gornergrat with the autumn colours in the background were so beautiful. If not for the kid screaming and throwing a tantrum, the ride would have been perfect. Nevertheless the views were definitely worth it. Definitely recommend this.

We enjoyed the ride going up to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise because we were in our own cablecar. Being able to enjoy the widespread scenery on the way up in silence was therapeutic. As you said, the views of the Matterhorn itself was not as beautiful.

We would still recommend both rides if time or budget permits. Unfortunately Sunegga wasn’t open during our visit. We would have loved to ride this too.

We did stay at COUER Des ALPES hotel near the bridge and always had a Matterhorn view when the skies were clear.
