NW Cape Coral here.. We made it.. There is TONS of damage and debris.. Houses on fire, houses collapsed, but most of us are OK!!

Can you imagine those who are less fortunate and neither have the means to leave or have nowhere else to go? Where would the homeless go? So depressing, and warmer waters are fueling these beasts of storms even further each year.

You can survive without electricity and even have fun with your neighbors cooking out or helping each other. BUT, all of that flood water has left such a mess, I know it will take you some time to restore your lives. My thoughts are with you and I will be donating to organizations to help you as many others will do. Good luck! Keep your spirits up.

These people were told days to get out, yet they chose not to. I hope the auto insurance companies deny claims for those who stayed behind. It was a given that the cars would be under water, and we shouldn't have to suffer increased rates because of them.

I remember looking around at sunset, night B4 Andrew, cat 5..I knew I'd never see our neighborhood like that again..I remember seeing a pic on news of Seaside Heights, NJ, & my fav roller coaster standing in the ocean..what can happen in a few hours..unbelievable.
