I live a hour north and if they need free labor monday through thurs daylight to 3pm, contact me. mowing, cleaning up from weather, weed eating painting whatever! Edgewater is a gem that only needs opportunity to get over the hump of change. Unlike KilKare that I have gone to since the early 80's and I don't believe is half the track Edgewater is today!

Can we just take a minute to appreciate Miss Vicki and her merch designs and everything else she does. Along side being employed, wife, grandmother, absolutely adorable. You guys are a great team. She does an amazing job for this family team.

Here in Colorado we just lost Bandimere. But not due to low the property was worth more as a housing develoment than as a race track....so John Bandimere sold us out. Just once, I'd like to see a housing development get torn down to build a race trace!

Gasser, Super Stock, and A/FX is coming on hard thanks the SEGA and other organizations. The fields of cars are expanding rapidly. It's exciting heads up stick shift racing. Dennis Taylor is an old gasser racer, maybe he can help as well.

William thank you for his insight on the cost of owning and running a racetrack. Were all paying through our teeth to live today. Love you all. Fall has arrived and it's going to mean lots of work all winter getting things ready. 👍😎 Big thumbs up to all the work of Bob McVay. He works too much. Let him have some fun.

As someone who lives around 20 minutes away from Edgewater that place is truly special being able to wake up on a Friday and get to go that that place it’s truly amazing to have a race track that close to you. It’s an amazing place I can’t remember one time when I’ve went to watch ether heads up racing or bracket racing there’s ever been a disappointing race. Ever since I was a kid that place has a really special place in my heart and I dont know what I would do if that place closed its a truly special place. Bill I cannot thank you enough for doing this for everyone in the area and the drag racing community ❤

I volunteer at a race track in Australia 🇦🇺 and I can verify that most people don’t understand that all the equipment needs gas and problems don’t fix themselves, not to forget our glue is around $4k Australian per drum, and people always complain how much things cost without understanding all the little things add up fast, keep these tracks alive people

Bill i gotta tell you brother. Your incredible at production, editing, narration and creativity. There are huge networks that would kill for a creative like you. Thank heavens your not that. No joke though. Your amazing at this man.

I love EdgeWater. I first went there years ago as a crew member on a dragster and couldn't have felt more welcomed to be there. I have been to several dragstrips and loved the layout of the track with the grass and trees in the pits to the old-school feel up on the line. I hope it stays open for years to come! Great video Bill.

My dad raced a 55 Chevy at Edgewater in the 60’s and 70’s. I started racing there in high school in 1984. Raced there on and off till the late 90’s. Then life hit with work and kids. I retired early in hopes of racing again. I raced Jeeps at 300foot sand/dirt drags through the 2000’s. Then got into Jeep trail rides. My plan was to retire and build a Willys flat fender 2wd Jeep with a SBC to start Drag racing again. Light weight and easy to tow on my two rail trailer. But even with the kids grown and the my wife still working it’s just so expensive. To build a motor and transmission to be competitive in a small tire class is crazy. I bracket raced for years and wanted something different. I was hoping with a front Straight axle 2wd Willy’s flat fender Jeep I could race in a Gasser class or Nostalgia Class. Be nice if Edgewater would do an old school class one night a week for 1972 and older vehicles. Allow Classic Pie Crust Slicks up to 10in wide. No power adders. I believe we have enough old school hot rod guys around the tri-state area that would put old school slicks on their old cars and trucks and show up one night a week. I don’t want to race a Honda civic and I will not spend $25k to build a LS Turbo engine. Just old school ALL motor racing like when I was a kid. 12 second street cars that guys put slicks on. Hell, even a hard tire class. Or stick and auto class. No Foxbody twin turbo cars. You could offer 1/8 and 1/4 mile classes the same night.
I believe a lot of guys got out of racing when the laptops came out. I see guys at car show with old hot rods all the time that would like to race, but can’t compete with today’s technology. Why show up with a 69 Nova with an N/A sbc and line up with a twin turbo LS Foxbody. I like tuning a Carburetor, not typing on a computer to race. And no I’m not a Boomer. I’m Bills age, Gen X. We both grew up with dads that raced 55 Chevys. Be nice to have local old school racing. 🇺🇸🦅🔧

From Asheville. First day since last week I’ve been able to get online (albeit sporadically). Glad to get back to watching your content. No water anywhere here but I am blessed to have power and no damage from storm. So many don’t. Please keep us in your prayers.
