I'm homeless now sleeping in my car but you gotta make the best of it . At least you get to save money.

you gotta tint your windows or put up some type of drapes for privacy when you’re sleeping... and so no one can see in your car. also a reminder, always keep valuables and essentials in your trunk... people will try to steal

I was homeless for 10 years, (part of that time was living in Costa Rica, no help there whatsoever). I spent 2 years living in a car in New England winters (freeze plug leaks, so I couldn't run the heater). I decided that I didn't care where I lived in the US, but I was tired of the shit life. I finally got SSDI (it takes over a year, and needs tons of proof) and used my back money to buy a home in cash (Springfield MO). You can get a small house here for under 20k cash, and even though it took 6 months to fix up, no more living in a car and now I don't even pay a mortgage.

I was homeless at one point in my life. So much to deal with on top of trying to pay off a huge debt.... now, I make good money and living a comfortable life, but homeless phase of my life left a remarkable mark in my life, I look at things so differently now.

Having lived out of my car I can attest that Jake is legit. I already learned these tips and tricks but if you've never lived out of your car these tips are solid 24K gold. Making yourself comfortable in a very comfortable situation is the key to keeping your sanity while living out of your car.

I’ve been traveling to find work and send money home to my family and this video helped a lot on my last trip through Dallas! Living in a car alone is scary but having tips like this makes it feel better! Thanks :)

I lIved out of my car for 10 months fell may 2019 to March 2020 but I wasn’t able to save money. I had lost my apartment (it got sold) and Had also
Lost my job and didn’t find another job until I spent my last bit of money to drive to another state where i found a $7.25 hour job and that barely kept enough money for car payment, gas and food and saved what little I could for an apartment. I would never want to go back to sleeping/living out of my car again. It was the most depressing, hopeless, suicidal thing ive ever been through especially since I’m not close to my family or had any friends to reach out too. My bother was the only one their calling and texting me to see if I Was ok kudos to people tho who willingly choose to live out their car

I’m currently living with my parents in Dallas, TX. Our relationships is straining and especially with this COVID situation. I’m shopping for a van but I don’t have enough to build so I’ll just be sleeping inside of an empty thing. So thank you for posting this it gives me ideas and tips on stealth and safety in my area.

I'm really considering this lifestyle. My Camry has a super comfy back seat. I feel like I'd still keep all my stuff in a storage unit just to be able to crash in a real bed if I wanted to and swap out clothes each week.

Rent is too high so I'm considering doing this. I do work but without the rent bill I'll be able to save for a small house.

I've been doing this for a month now and its a big adjustment. You can organize your car to your preference and make it as comfortable as possible. I stay in dallas as well and with the summer almost here this heat is getting to me lol. Have to use ac and gas more than usual. I shower at gym spend money on that lifetime fitness membership to have all those amenities. And honestly plan to do it till end of year want to get my credit back up and save cash. Feels god to not pay rent and be back on my purpose. Thanks for the video bro keep doing you

I live in my car too. For about two weeks now due to my negligence to get help for my mental health issues with anxiety panic, bipolar depression from trauma and I’ve used prescription drugs to cope and help my mental illness. Made bad choices and some choices that were due to my mental illness. But I’m in my car and I do have places by friends and family that I can park but no help as in a place to stay besides my boyfriends moms place but it’s not permanent due to no space too many people in his house etc. but yes I’ve been having panic attacks because of all of this but I’m trying to train my mind again to make the best out of this and by watching these videos on YouTube and how it could’ve worse.

Born and raised in Dallas. I’ve definitely had to sleep in my car. Thank God I have my own house now. Winters were rough. Hang in there
