that fiber you cut off you should use to pull back and cut the jacket the tool use to cut the outside could of scored the wire so pull it back so the wire is not cut

I gotta say, that's one gorgeous RJ-45 connector there. I also don't think i've seen that brilliantly clear of a relief boot.
Man, i am totally kicking myself for not doing a bit more research into crimpers and this kind of stuff before buying a bunch of standard connector tools and parts.
Can you tell me if I can use a standard crimp tool with one of these EZ connectors? I adore the ease-of-use of being able to just run the wires through the connector, but was wondering if it really does require my selling my still barely used gear to get a new tool if all the difference is is a cutting blade. Can't I just cut the protruding wires myself after crimping?
