I have no idea how UCF is the betting favorite here. They've lost 4 straight and BYU has won 7 straight. Not only that, but I don't even think UCF is a particularly difficult matchup for BYU. I know Ollie Gordon had a great rushing day against BYU last week. But I think the BYU defense just had an off night and Gordon also made some incredible plays. Run defense is actually BYU's strength and the UCF offense plays right into their hands. UCF doesn't have an Ollie Gordon. Also UCF is far more one dimensional offensively than Oklahoma St. I actually think UCF is better than their record suggests. And they *could* beat BYU. But BYU should be favored here.

One thing a lot of you guys are overlooking is some teams do a lot better after a bye week. I think that's true with BYU and Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State was better prepared and well rested. This week, it's even. Yes, BYU is on the road, but they also had an extra day of rest and preparation.

BYU wins big in this game. Defense has been stout against the run but they got a little undisciplined against Oregon state. They’ll clean it up this week.

BYU crushes UCF without a doubt. Kyle should watch a football game for once instead of checking box scores and assuming what happened.

BYU's defense is very complex. They give a lot of different looks and it requires a lot of concentration to get lined up correctly. Consequently, they make a lot of mistakes, missing gaps and just being out of position. Sometimes, half of the secondary is playing zone and half is playing man to man. That being said, when they execute they are excellent. They were unprepared against OKS, which came out with a different QB and scheme (zone read/QB keeper). They made some adjustments in the second half and stopped OKS for the 3rd quarter. Then, OKS made some adjustments and got two scores in the 4th. It was a great chess match between the two coordinators. Against UCF, BYU will be ready. However, one mistake can lead to a 60 yard TD run by Harvey. It will all come down to BYU's defensive execution. UCF will not be able to push BYU around and run the ball if BYU executes.
