Why you should never buy an existing EV. 1- one way too high, incentives will be taken form you once you paid the taxe on the price, 2- actual range too low, even the 300 miles range is barely and rarely atteinable. in winter expect a loss of 33%. ; we need 400miles range. 3 All vehicle with lithium battery are dangerous we need solid state batteries or sodium batteries that dont catch fire in accident or when they are charging. 4- insurance companies are planing to charge between 4-5000 dollars for one year, reason: whenever the battery is involved in a crash, the car is declared total lost. On a side hit if frame bends the car is unrepairable. Also in a crash if battery is damaged the car can catch on fire and surprisingly, the doors wont open; People have died in their cars not from the accident but because they could not get out of their burning car.5 Have you heard of the road tax : since you dont buy gas you are not paying the 50% tax on a gallon of gasoline therefore you are not paying for road usage, that tax is coming for you.6 there is an unbelievebal problem with 12volt batterty that operate every electric option in your car. If you go an a trip dont leave your car at the airport because when you come back your 12 volt battery will be dead: therefore your doors wont open, and even if you use your emergency key, once inside the car your vehicle will be dead and wont start and GOD forbide, if you happen to close the car door you will be a prisoner inside your car because the door wont open from the inside. Now I understand this is an unbelievable problem because your car is sitting there with 50 kilowats of power but the car does not have the ability to use that DC whatage to charge your AC whatage battery, even though we are capable to send a man on the moon.7 Even though you bought an expensive car that is going to get 80% charge in 18 minutes, when you get to a charging station and the 10 stalls are taken, you should know that none of those that are charging are going to chrge in 18 minutes why? because only probably if there was only 4 or5 cars charging could the facility offer you 18 minutes charging, more then that and you might get only 50% less power because they will reduce the charging distribution to everybody because there is only so much current available. Bet you did not know that either. My conclusion is all those who already bought EV'S you will soon have a vehicle that will have all these problem. as for me I will wait another 4-5 years until they have worked out all these mistakes.
