At min 87 you wanted to bring him in? The feeling i get from this is that egos are clashing. Tbh being the best footballer for so many years and getting this treatment from your own trainer is disgusting. Ronaldo may not play his best but you cant tell me that he is so bad that he cant get a place in the joke of a team which United has been the last years.

3 minutes to go, what kind of embarrassment is dat?

3-5min is taking the piss and Ronaldo knows it. He didn't go back to Man U for that type of BS.

Now I do not support what Ronaldo did, but during the Manchester derby game ETH said he didn't bring Ronaldo in out of respect for his career but tries to bring him in by the 88th min during Tottenham for what exactly? That's flat out disrespectful.

I agree with the decision...but united are at fault for creating this situation. Ronaldo is a legend. The best footballer in the world. You cannot treat him like anyone else and bring him on to burn game time at the 88th min...

We all saw Ronald warming up on halftime, then you telling us he refused 😤how you can't substitute him in the last minutes of the game... we all know that Fred's shooting is bad.

Ronaldo does not deserve to represent the Manchester united badge anymore. How would you refuse coming on when your team just delivered the performance of the season and you want to be respected by everyone but you know nothing about respect.

He's so in control he can tell the truth

TH must have been testing how Ronaldo would act being treated like he did. Unfortunately, Ronaldo didn’t pass the test. If he showed more humility then maybe things would have been different.

ask yourself as a United fan which one was respectful to do towards a senior player, put him on against City at 60th minutes while we were losing OR put him on with 3 minutes left to play when we already were winning 3 - 0 and do not have intention to scores a goal anymore also no one was injured / tired?

It's very normal to subbed in someone to stall time in a game like this. If the player has too much ego, it's a very good thing that he left.

Smart management by ETH, with CR stature, he will be example either way, unfortunately CR choose the wrong direction.
Nevertheless CR has been amazing servant for the club, thank you and good luck for him.

Bravo to the manager (I’m the biggest Ronaldo fan ever).
ETH just won my respect.
If Messi was told to go warm up for more than 100 hours and at the end Braithwaite gets subbed on, do you think Messi would have left the field ? Absolutely not, absolutely not.

Ronaldo just want people respect him but he didn’t respect the manager and the club. Messi is way better than him!

Very Clever,
How to get rid of a legend without breaking rules and saving the wages jus so u can pay Anthony and weghorst.

Ronaldo though just because he is 37 he is old enough to control the manager and got humbled

Simple question: would Ronaldo have done this with Alex Ferguson? And if he did, what would have happened?

Irrespective of legend status, no player is bigger than the club. No employee is bigger than their employer.

All this talk of not respecting Ronaldo is just nonsensical. He's a club employee like all the other players and subject to the manager's decisions.

This coach is disrespectful. With all this your attitude if Manchester United remains in their formal position you will be soup.

Ronaldo getting paid millions a year to kick ball, his ego is too much 👀

Let him keep his consequences for himself. This man just wants an excuse to put Ronaldo out. Should have went for City.
