2018 Acura NSX TRACK TEST // Very Fast, Very Tech, Very Red.

Honda Canada invited Throttle House to experience the Acura NSX at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park DDT circuit. I autocrossed, launched, and ripped around the track. The NSX certainly is a very capable performer.

Is the new MX5 Miata really THAT different? I was dying to find out, so I spent a week with the 2019 MX-5 RF. SUBSCRIBE for MORE car content weekly!

NSX. Still one of the highest resale valued cars ever built. Little to none of any depreciation, over its twenty five year history.

You guys gotta do another NSX review! One where you have much more time!!

The Acura NSX is the benchmark in current performance sport cars (my opinion, no I don't own one - I have no money). I challenge all: Find a better performing car for the money? C8, 2021 Mid-engine Corvette, you got allot of work still to do on the C8 to even match the NSX. Good luck, Chevrolet !

@Throttle House: Did you forget the 3rd electric motor in the back with 35 kW which helps to reduce the initial turbo lag? You only mentioned the 2 motors in the front (27 kW each).

Love the channel. I’ve watched every “new video” so am going back to the start! Amazing to see how far the channel has come, and Thomas as a driver! Compare this to the type S video where Thomas is quite critical of the new type S NSX lol. Best car channel on YouTube right now. Thanks guys

Underrated high tech vehicle! I’d have one in a heart beat .

GTR - done
Supra - done

What we need now is an old vs new for the NSX

Nice, succinct, review here. As an original NSX owner I'm aware that the older car got some of the same critique (not crazy enough, etc) back in the 90s. I'm curious to see how NSX 2.0 ages with it's suite of new-tech innovations.

Like the GTR and ZR1, it needs to lose some weight and gain some ponies. I would love to see a striped down version with at least 600ponies, maybe a R-Type.

I'm almost certain when they showed the first prototype it was on a 265 front tyre and the production version wears 245/305 tyres. That would explain why so many journalists find it's a little too far towards understeer. Not really the kind of car you'd modify to fix that either.

Audi R8 -- $164000
AMG GTR - $158000
NSX -- $155000
911 GT3 -- $144000
Corvette ZR1 - $120000
GT-R -- $99900

Come on, ist really worth the premium ($55000) over the GT-R?
Or that you would take it over any of the others?

Too much tech. Don't care for it. If they would strip all those electric motors and junk off and just have the V6 turbo, I'd love it. NSX was about lightweight, reliability, and bargin price. This one, not so much
