Ice does reduce swelling but (as someone who broke their nose a few days before I was on stage) it doesn't completely go away no matter how "minor" the break is. Also make-up can't hide it all.

Ice and makeup🤣 I got knee’d in my nose one time when I was fighting my brother and I had two black eyes, very bad swelling around my eyes and nose and my nose (as well as the top half of my face) was like triple the size and it wasn’t even broken. I could probably cover the bruising if I’d known how, but ice would not have drastically reduced the swelling to the point where I looked normal. I tried. I ended up having to stay off of school for 2 weeks and I wasn’t allowed to do any sports or anything that could make the injury worse. She needs to sit tf down with her lies.
