In this video, we will compare session based authentication with token based authentication. Session uses cookie while token uses json web token(JWT). The main difference between the session and token authentication is that the authentication details are stored on the server side in session authentication and on the user side in token authentication. Both authentication mechanism are good enough for building application but which one do you prefer more ?
