I loved the gold, just because it looked nice and it had a cool retro-futurist feel. But Franz explaining it was a high-tech reference to the traditional yellow cab is just brilliant.

I’m moving to rural Scotland next year where public transport is so crap! Perhaps I’ll build a mini-fleet of robotaxis and clean up!

I plan on buying 4 or 5 and they will operate 24/7

Most mall, shopping centre, supermarket car parks are empty when they are closed, and in cities. So easy parking for charging 9pm to 10am following day.

A few months ago, someone asked Franz what design he was most proud of, and he answered somewhat enigmatically that it was a product that had not yet been released. The Cybercab must have been that product.

Herbert & Brian knocking it out of the park with this run down of Franz's video on Cybercab.

Herbert, I suspect that Tesla will build Robotaxi Supercharger/Parking Hubs statically located throughout each metropolitan area so they are close to the demand sources. These new Supercharger Hubs will consist of mostly wireless charging stations but will also include the new Supercharger 4 stations to service the non-CyberCab vehicles. As Tesla’s Robotaxi becomes ubiquitous, they may have several thousand Robotaxi vehicles in each metropolitan area. They will need to park these vehicles overnight somewhere therefore it is logical to assume the construction of these wireless Supercharger Hubs. Look at the Waymo and Cruise deployments and you will see a designated parking/charging location but WayMo and Cruise have such small fleets operating in small geofenced service areas, their charging and parking requirements are small in comparison to a Tesla deployment of thousands of Robotaxis in each metropolitan area.

Wow, Brian what a great idea about interface connection/conversion between inductive charging pad and NACS charging for legacy Tesla vehicles🤯

So ahead of the game they even tell you what they have done

The doors are my concern, they should hinge at the top and go up and out of traffic. the present design is going to be hit by traffic.

I was outside the Park Meadows mall when the Tesla Crew drove the CyberCab into the mall for this weeks display. The person inside the car used a wireless joystick to manually drive the car into the mall. I will predict that ever CyberCab will have an option to be bought with a wireless joystick for low-speed maneuvering of the vehicle...

Go back to the 1955 Citroën DS and ‘70 SM for narrower rear track. Noting new here.

The mat gold colour is good as it's highly visible and looks classy. Yellow is so garish.
