I don’t always agree with Ed, but I respect that he always backs up his views with evidence and conviction. Carry on Ed.

Ed is the king of the pod today. I'm glad he feels free to speak. Of course we will have to see if he comes back next week. Fingers crossed for you, Ed!

LOVED Ed's rant on MSTR's shenanigans. Thanks for being brave enough to call out the absurdity even though you know your boss is Saylor's buddy.

I’ve been coding for over 30 years. The coding assistants today can do the easy part. They can help write new code. What they can’t do is find a bug hidden in several hundreds of thousands of lines of code and explain to you why this is the bug and how to fix it.

The national pastime in Canada used to be watching hockey, but we have recently switched to watching the fall of the U.S....much more entertaining!

Hi Scott, hi Ed. I really enjoy your podcast. Regarding the college experience, when I went to college, I was so shy and introverted that I barely met anyone and went to a commuter school so I could go home every evening. We didn’t have a football team to attend games, or a marching band play in, so those were lost opportunities for me. So I didn’t form any lasting relationships. I really regret that. and I know it hurt my career opportunities after college, even with a high GPA. So when my daughter went off to college, she decided on a big state school away from home and we were very happy about that. We encouraged her to put herself out there and get involved in activities and such. Although she went off to school very introverted, she blossomed and formed many lasting friendships through her undergrad and graduate schools. She turned into a social butterfly and like you said, Scott, she is qualified AND people really like her! That has really served her well.
Regarding Lyft, perhaps it’s a female thing, but I prefer it when the driver is willing to engage in conversation with me. Riding alone with a male whom I don’t know makes me very uncomfortable, and the conversation is calming for me. I wish that one of the rideshare companies would offer female drivers for female riders, but I was told that that is discriminatory; but from a safety perspective, I don’t like riding with a male driver, although some are very nice, but it makes me nervous. I look forward to Waymo in my area so I can get in the car with no driver at all, and feel safer as a female riding alone.

Well said Ed on the Bitcoin. The difference between Bitcoin and gambling on a horse race is that you know at least one horse is going to win.

Great commentary on the bitcoin I would actually like a longer segment by y’all on cryptocurrency

Both are right. Personally, I think Ed's more right. As a smart man once said, we'll see!

One thing you both said today that kind of jumped at me... not wanting to talk to drivers who take you places. Especially you Scott, might I suggest that you might learn things from these people if you take a few moments to speak with them. Ask them a question about their life, or their opinion. Not to stroke them, but to learn. If you start flying too high, and only talk to fancy friends, high rollers, "ballers", like you... you might just lose touch with the ground. Talk to people who don't fly as high as you do. (I like doing it and I have learned a lot. These people have surprised me. Told me things that I did not expect to hear. - - - Just a thought.)

The "Value of the Asset" brings reality to the game, so American exceptionalism only works if you're exceptional, Ed makes sense

If Ed and Scott were individual businesses/stocks, I think I would invest in Ed. You would always know what the fundimentals are and trust the yearly reports.
