Math 2318: 2 tools we'll need from Sec. 2.1

We need a couple of facts about matrix multiplication going forward: one, the definition of invertible matrices (and some examples of) and two, a VERY handy way of rewriting AB that makes a lot easier in some key places later on in the course (as well as in the next few sections).
