I said it in another Grieg video but I'll say it again - I, personally, identify Grieg as the Norwegian Tchaikovsky. He's a master of the folklore melody. Both he and Tchaikovsky were dedicated to capture the essence of their country and put it into notes. They definitely succeeded.

This suite by Grieg is one of the most melodic pieces of music ever divine.

Perhaps, one of the most powerful versions of the Peer Gynt orchestral live performance🎉🎉🎉

I just finished reading "Peer Gynt" for the first time. Grieg really did capture the essence of the narrative with his suite. I found myself saying, "oh, this is the part where Peer was doing such-and such", as each part began

I first heartd this at Lafayette Elementary Scool in West Seattle, Seattle Washington. Miss Virginia Houlahan was the MUSIC Teacher for all six grades. She told the stories about the composers and their Music. And as an Artist alongv with the other kids made chalk Art, Murals on Paper as well as Bulletib Boards. She was the best, and my favorite grade school teacher. I am 76 this September, Rhank You Very Much Miss Houlahan!!!

Faire de la musique ensemble, l'écouter ensemble, y a-t-il plus belles aventures humaines? Cette interprétation est un régal à entendre et à regarder. Le chef d'orchestre est merveilleux.

So, I was there, on any day about 50 years ago. I've just entered home from school and I turned on the radio. And Death of Asse began to sound. And I was held on the air for many minutes after the performance ended. You can forget a title, a composer's name. But yo will never forget a specific moment in your life. This superb performance brought me back to that moment. So simple.

Absolutely superb performance, one of the best of the Peer Gynt Suite to delight my ears in decades, my Mum used to have a 78 shellac record of it, she'd play it on a Sunday sometimes or during the week whilst doing housework, all siblings would retreat to the garden to play if she put the 'Hall of the Mountain King' on 😂 ❤️ 😊 Sadly she passed in 2015.

Gracias GRIEG

The percussionists get to have all of the fun! I don't think I've ever seen a wind roller. 😃

This music quench and moisturize the dryness of the soul, and evoke comfortable feelings, and nostalgic feelings, and will embody Grieg’s musical aesthetics
