I’ve been doing calisthenics for almost a year and have reached a solid level. Although I initially wanted to learn the full planche, I now realize it might be better to focus on the basics—sets and reps (pull-ups, dips, and muscle-ups) for a few months before progressing further with static skills like the full planche. Since I can already do the straddle planche, should I continue training statics or focus on sets and reps for now?

I think the reason why people cannot do the full planche but can do the straddle is that they have weak lats.
