Christie Brinkley Reveals She Has Skin Cancer

Former supermodel Christie Brinkley revealed she was diagnosed with skin cancer. Brinkley says she was at the doctor's office for her daughter's annual checkup. Before leaving, she asked the doctor to look at a tiny dot on her face that she could feel when applying foundation. The doctor was concerned at what he saw and immediately ordered a biopsy. Now, she's telling everyone to protect themselves in the sun.

Lucky is an understatement. Cancer of any form has to be the most scariest thing to go through not knowing if you caught it early or late

Basal cell skin cancer is unfortunately very common especially when youre older. Its usually caught early and is not a big deal. Melanoma is the serious skin cancer that can be deadly.

I also was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma. It's a slow growing cancer. I had my cancer on my nose for five years. My doctor took skin off my chest, cartilage from my ear and sewed it to my nose.. wear sunscreen and cover up.

OMG, I have had like 12 basal cells removed and no way did I have to lay down in a bed. She is ridiculous!

I had skin cancer 2 years ago. They snipped it off, full recovery. And yes, I'm now wearing a hat outdoors. It's not a big deal, and you should not make it one.

I had a basal cell carcinoma on my back that three different doctors looked at and said it was nothing to worry about. After three years, one of them finally did what they were supposed to and biopsied it. Have to take a 4”x3” chunk out of my back.
With that being said. Basal cell is like the lowest and/or least aggressive type of skin Ca.
She is going to be ok. If this wasn’t “celebrity” it would be the opposite of newsworthy.

Same thing happened to my daughter taking child in for acne and got a check up herself. Christie is still beautiful 🤩

I've had several BCC removed and treated over the years. They aren't serious like melanoma. Christy should be fine. 😊

I had 2 skin cancers removed on my upper lip and one on my neck and my arms have sun damage too. Now when I do yardwork I wear a big hat, long sleeve shirt and sunscreen. My grandfather was in the sun a lot and he had skin cancer on his head and it went into his system and he didn't live long after his diagnosis. I'm glad Christie's cancer was found so quickly.
