I honestly don't expect Bernie Sanders to fulfill his promise or somehow get Wall Street to help out the middle class. However, I will vote for him because at least he's putting an effort to create equal opportunity for everyone. Making a promise is easy but taking action in the White House is obviously a different story. No one can predict how things will turn out once he gets there.

Bernie has said it himself that he can not promise us anything until we start working together. He can not do it alone.

Let's see if wall street can pay the bill first. How much is everyone in the country paying for college each year, what is the gross amount? Then, let's try to raise that much money in new taxes on the top 1%. See if they don't leave the country. If it turns out we can make the tip top earners foot the bill. Then we can start making college free.

Can we re-examine the where college tuition is going? Are professors really worth what they are paid? How about compensation based on the median salary for your degree? Your love of teaching should be its own reward. Of course professors can eat free in the cafeteria and use the student medical center.

Based on the current costs of public college tuitions and current number of people going to college, the cost will come to $200 billion. We all know that private schools are much better than public schools because the customer pays a high out of pocket cost whereas government could under-fund college at any point, so I think free college sounds good in theory but will fail miserably in practice, especially if Bernie is like the only candidate who knows how to make it happen.
