Like every year this year also the world music day event was organised by Sourendra & Soumyajit in Kolkata on 21st June 2024 .

The musical evening had all the stalwarts of Indian music .This year the event took place at Netaji Indoor Stadium Kolkata .

Crowd management by the Event Management Group was awful. The event management group representatives did not the know the gate numbers. There are a lot of rumours floating and if it is true then its sad because music lovers have every right to talk about it. Except for Aruna Sairam, Shankar Mahadevan, Anindya and Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and the other others in the 7 to 9minutes, failed to impress . Others may have a different view. All in all with it was a Starry Starry night but the glitter was missing. I feel less no. of stars would have shone much brighter.

এই বছরের WORLD MUSIC DAY র প্রোগ্রাম টা ভালো লাগলেও খুব দুঃখের সঙ্গে জানাচ্ছি যে আর কোনোদিন, সৌরেন্দ্র - সৌমজিৎ এর কোনো অনুষ্ঠানে যাবো না, এবছর এরা যা করেছে সেটা রীতিমতো একটা FRAUD, আগে থেকে RECORD করা অনুষ্ঠান এরা সেই দিন netaji indore এ চালিয়েছিল live program এর নাম করে, আর স্টেজ এ শুধু গাওয়ার অভিনয় করেছিল, যদি আমরা recording ই শুনতে চাইতাম তবে তো বাড়িতে বসেই YouTube থেকে শুনতে পারতাম, শুধু শুধু সময় ও টাকা নষ্ট হলো, আমাদের রীতিমতো বোকা বানানো হলো, যাইহোক এদের উপর আর কোনো ভালোবাসা নেই ||
