Gov. Andy Beshear March 19 5:00 p.m. Update | Coronavirus | KET

In his March 19th update, Gov. Beshear reports 47 confirmed cases and a second death from COVID-19. He also says eight labs in the state are providing testing services. The governor bans all social gatherings, including religious services, and says restaurants and bars that deliver food will be allowed to also deliver alcohol.

I am seriously watching this at midnight from my home in California. I was scared and couldn't sleep. This press conference calmed my nerves and helped me gather the courage to face another day of this crisis.

I do have say, I am impressed with the effort put forth from Gov. Beshear. I thank you sir. I sadly fear for stores such as Walmart, they opened at 7am the other day...I tried to count the people coming in and stopped once I reached close to 100, just doesn't seem safe at all.

There is a call center business in Paducah Kentucky called Lynx services. He specifically mentioned call centers with people in cubicles. And there is a business in Paducah Kentucky that is blatantly disregarding those guidelines. They only sent 30% of the workforce home when almost the entire Workforce there has the ability to work from home and The Business has the ability to do it and they are not doing it. Lynx services in paducah kentucky needs to be looked at and needs to be investigated because they are disregarding everything said in this video. they have the ability to send almost all of their Workforce home and they are only doing a small percentage. These are people who work in close proximity to one another and they are all in cubicles exactly and specifically what you mentioned.

I wish we would just go into lockdown. before it gets worse. People are going about their business stores are packed here . I have been self isolating with my family . for a week and a half. I can see these people across the highway. They think they are invincible here. If it comes to my town it will be devastated. the under 40 crowd will wipe out the older crowd and there wont be any i.c. u.space for the younger crowd. Everyone here is acting all angry at being (inconvenienced) and in denial.

I’m just tired of listening this and that. We have 47 patients that are positive and number will be going up. We need enough PPE for hospitals and also need to start drive testing ASAP. At this point you have to realized that any person with symptoms such as cough, congestion, chest pain, Need to swabbed. If we don’t do that, then their is risk of spreading virus to everyone. 20% of patient does not even show any symptoms. Look these NBA players, they are feeling fine and healthy. When they ran test, they found to be positive. With enough research asymptomatic people also shed virus same or equal level to symptomatic patients. We are talking about mild symptoms that need to swab and result should be out really quick. If not we all have to be quarantined. May be work on getting the Thermometer and hand sanitizers in the grocery store and pharmacy.

how are our over the road truckers supposed to eat, resturants are closed to dine in customers a trucker can not pull his 18 wheeler through a drive thru, furthermore according to social distancing the trucker can not walk up to a drive thru window. our truckers keep[ America moving, we need to keep them nourished and healthy so that they can keep moving

I wish he would clarify about the call centers. Saying we shouldn’t be there won’t stop them. I hope he sets a closing time or guidelines for them. Just saying “work from home” will not stop these corporations from risking it.

Whats also crazy is I actually had a Doctors office receptionist call me yesterday, to try to make an appt for a routine checkup for my 19 yrold. I was flabbergasted, I told her me and my son were staying home and didnt she know there was a virus out there and hung up. The nerve of that Dr. trying to get in a few more bucks on a balogney appt before shutting down
